Darts is a recreational activity and sport that evolved in the 20 th century from military training and a historical legacy of soldiering, combat, and armed engagement. Darts are now played virtually all over the world with the most competitive play often taking places in taverns and pubs,where in some nations, such as England, regular dart leagues meet several evenings per week.

Darts is a form of throwing   game  where   darts   are thrown at a circular target (dartboard) fixed to a wall.   Though various different boards and games have been used in the past, the term "darts" usually now refers to a standardised game involving a specific board design and set of rules. As well as being a professional competitive sport, darts is a traditional   pub game, commonly played in the United Kingdom , across the  Commonwealth , the  Netherlands ,  Ireland, the   Scandinavian   countries, the   United States   and elsewhere. and now picking up in INDIA from 2003 .
